THE MFM, WHICH OPENED IN DECEMBER OF 2008, WAS BORN FROM A DESIRE TO CREATE A TRULY UNIQUE RESTAURANT.
To achieve this, I sought the help of several friends and family members who operate very successful seafood restaurants in Alabama, South Carolina, and Maryland. They graciously shared their many talents and years of experience to help me accomplish my objectives. My “Uncle” George Sarris, owner of the famous Fish Market Restaurant in Birmingham, Alabama, has been serving high-quality seafood at affordable prices for more than 25 years. He shared several of his most popular recipes for delicious grilled fish; special sauces; and Southern-style, home-cooked vegetables. George has spent years developing relationships with the best seafood suppliers from around the world, and he has kindly made available to us the same fresh products he serves at his restaurant. This enables our kitchen to utilize day-boat catches, obtain our shrimp fresh out of the Gulf and fly whole loup de mer directly from Greece.

We love this place. Nice, skilled, friendly staff did a great job. Everyone was welcoming. The manager stops by tables to visit, which is appreciated. Beautiful large fish tank. Large parking lot. The bartender made great drinks for us. Very good food. We got a variety of items and enjoyed them all. Good sauces to accompany entrees. Amazing desserts of cakes and pies.

Really liked this place. Parking lot was pretty full but we got right in and were seated promptly. We both ordered seafood. My wife got a seafood sampler platter and i got salmon and vegetables. Everything was delicious and hot and fresh. Prices were on par with other seafood restaurants. They also bring out cheese bread which was hot and fresh also. A very nice Sunday brunch meal
