About Us

THE MFM, WHICH OPENED IN DECEMBER OF 2008, WAS BORN FROM A DESIRE TO CREATE A TRULY UNIQUE RESTAURANT.

To achieve this, i sought the help of several friends and family members who operate very successful seafood restaurants in Alabama, South Carolina and Maryland. They graciously shared their many talents and years of experience to help me accomplish my objectives.

My “Uncle” George Sarris, owner of the famous Fish Market Restaurant in Birmingham, Alabama, has been serving high-quality seafood at affordable prices for more than 25 years. He shared several of his most popular recipes for delicious grilled fishes; special sauces; and Southern-style, home-cooked vegetables. George has spent years developing relationships

with the best seafood suppliers from around the world, and he has kindly made available to us the same fresh products he serves at his restaurant. This enables our kitchen to utilize day-boat catches, obtain our shrimp fresh out of the Gulf and fly whole loup de mer directly from Greece.

I also teamed up with my good friends in Greenville, South Carolina, who, for more than 15 years, have owned and operated a successful seafood chain called The Harbor Inn Restaurants. They specialize in big platters of fried seafood and have a unique recipe for tasty hush puppies. From Chris and George, I learned the secret of great fried fish — start each and every day with fresh, high-quality oil with zero trans fats. They also have formed a buying group that I use to purchase the finest quality scallops, Alaskan whitefish and cod, among many other top-quality seafoods.

My Uncle John, who owns another successful chain known as Double TT Diners in Baltimore, Maryland, personally flew in our initial batch of Maryland crabmeat and shared several of his recipes including one for unbelievably delicious, real lump Maryland crab cakes. Try our huge, crab-fi lied cake over our signature Greek village salad for a true blend of American and Greek flavors.

To accommodate you (and to create our many dishes without chaos), we built a massive, state-of-the art kitchen that can do if all – regardless of volume. At MFM, you’ll always find plenty of specials created daily by our chef so that each visit means something exciting and new – at lunch or dinner. Our daily features often include tantalizing seafood pastas, grilled and fried fresh fishes, original-recipe salmon croquettes, scrumptious seafood crepes and many more tempting dishes.

Since I was 8 years old, I have been involved in the restaurant business in one way or another. Early on, I developed a passion for the industry that remains with me to this day. It’s little wonder then that the Marietta Fish Market is just one of four Tselios family restaurants.

In 1995, recognizing a need in the Atlanta area for great food 24 hours a day, I opened the Marietta Diner. The Diner is a hit with people here at home and across the country after a feature on Food Network’s “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives” that highlighted our famous spanakopita and seafood paella (which is also a favorite at the Marietta Fish Market).

Following that, I acqu ired Cherokee Cattle Company (an authentic Texas roadhouse specializing in aged, hand-cut steaks and chops) and Pasta Bella (a family-friendly Italian bistro with NewYork-style pizza and homemade pastas). All of these restaurants have several important things in common: excellent, friendly service; top-quality food (and lots of it!); and beautiful, mouthwatering desserts, exclusive to us and famous for being big in flavor and size. Each of my restaurants always has a colorful display of signature desserts baked fresh daily. You’ll want to save room for something sweet when you dine with us.

The design of the Marietta Fish Market did not stop with our exquisite, inimitable restaurant; or our appetizing and extensive menu; or even the ability to offer you the very freshest, high-quality seafood as well as other select dishes. I want to be sure your dining experience will always be enjoyable. Come in. Get comfortable. Relax. Have a seat in our bar, and enjoy a frozen pina colada, a glass of wine, or another cocktail of your choosing. Check out our large display case filled with colorful fresh fish from around the world. Our lobster tank is always teeming with lively lobsters from Maine. Take a peek, too, at the fish swimming in the fountain in our main dining room; they are there, of course, for your enjoyment!

Our number one priority is you – our guest. Bring your family and friends, and prepare to be pampered by our friendly wait staff. Relax in our warm and welcoming atmosphere, and enjoy our wonderfully delicious, absolutely fresh food. Our mission at the Marietta Fish Market is to always exceed your expectations. We guarantee you a memorable dining experience each and every time.
